Google Cloud costs

BuizStack reads your Cloud Billing detailed usage cost export in BigQuery and shows spend per day, service and project. Firebase is billed through the same billing account, so one export covers Firebase and Google Cloud.
1. Turn on the billing export
You need Billing Account Administrator or Costs Manager on the billing account.
- Create a BigQuery dataset for the export in a project you own, for example
billing_exportin the US multi-region. - In Cloud Console, open Billing → your billing account → Billing export → BigQuery export.
- Under Detailed usage cost, choose Edit settings, pick the project and dataset, and save.
- Google creates the table
gcp_billing_export_resource_v1_<billing account id with underscores>within a few hours and fills in roughly the last two months.
2. Give BuizStack read access
Grant buizstack-api@buizstack.iam.gserviceaccount.com the BigQuery Data Viewer role on the export dataset:
bq query --project_id=YOUR_PROJECT --use_legacy_sql=false \
'GRANT `roles/bigquery.dataViewer` ON SCHEMA `YOUR_PROJECT.billing_export`
TO "serviceAccount:buizstack-api@buizstack.iam.gserviceaccount.com"'Or in the console: BigQuery → the dataset → Sharing → Permissions → Add principal.
3. Connect it
- Dashboard: Business → Cloud cost → Connect billing export, then enter the project, dataset and table.
- AI assistant: ask it to connect your billing export; it uses
connect_gcp_billing_export.
BuizStack checks access with a dry-run query, backfills 90 days, and syncs every 6 hours. Google keeps restating recent days, so the last 62 days are re-read on each sync.
4. Assign GCP projects
Map each GCP project to the BuizStack project it belongs to: on the Cloud cost page, select a GCP project in the list and choose its project, or useassign_gcp_project through MCP. Spend from unmapped GCP projects is shown as Unallocated.
